Integrating natural history, the unique individuals, and exhibit design allows us to create a list of desired behaviors:
- Locomotion –run, trot, walk
- Self maintenance – wallowing, rubbing
- Rooting
- Foraging
These behaviors may be encouraged through permanent exhibit structures, rotating items, social opportunities, interactions with keepers and more.
