Species: Tiger
Integrating natural history, the unique individuals, and exhibit design allows us to create a list of desired behaviors:
- Self maintenance – rubbing, scratching
- Sensory – smelling, scent marking, investigation
- Play behaviors – run, jump, pounce
- Hunting behaviors – chase, capture, stalking
These behaviors may be encouraged through permanent exhibit structures, rotating items, social opportunities, interactions with keepers and more.
