Integrating natural history, the unique individuals, and exhibit design allows us to create a list of desired behaviors:
- Self maintenance-rubbing, scratching
- Sensory-smelling, scent marking, investigation
- Play behaviors-run, jump, pounce
- Hunting behaviors-chase, capture, stalk
These behaviors may be encouraged through permanent exhibit structures, rotating items, social opportunities, interactions with keepers and more.
